Within the concept of the reinforced enabling instruments, signed into law by Governor Godwin Obaseki on April 3, 2018, the Agency is guaranteed with the mechanism of a strategic vehicle, to permanently excise intermittent political risks and limitation from its functions, in order to be able to commercially engage private property investors and developers who are capable of unlocking valuable latent real estate opportunities in Edo State and the Nigerian South-South hemisphere.
By its enabling instrument, EDPA is also reenergised to regularly organise Summits, Workshops and Designing Road Maps for the implementation and the measurement of productivity within the context of its Core Objectives ranging as follows:

This clearly defined Status of the EDPA has enable the Property Agency to significantly developed in the past, several notable Assets in Benin City, Warri, Sapele, Agbor, Ekpoma, Sabongida-Ora and Igueben. EDPA also have established property in Irrua, Ubiaja and Igarra amongst others.
Other properties under its management include Property in Lagos and Abuja, all on behalf of Edo State Government.
In the third quarter of 2022, the highly professional property Agency, under the current management, ably led by Mr. John Zedomi successfully handed over Emotan Gardens Estate Phase 1, which comprises of 68 units of 2-3 Bedroom Bungalows.
In addition to the aforementioned, EDPA is currently developing various Properties namely, Emotan Garden City Phase 2, Benin City, 26 Unit Golf Mews and several others such as Viewpoint, Family Home Fund, etc; all in critical focus. The Mews is a 5 Minutes Drive from Benin Airport; it is situated on Central Road where Protea Hotel, Force Headquarters, John Odigie Oyegun Training Centre and other key agencies are located.
